1. Introduction:
PHOM or TALA is the card game with 52 cards.
Max player for each table is 4 player and min are 2 player.
2. Rules
a. How to deal
- PHOM use a deck cards with 52 cards. The rank value from the top to low are: K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A
- The game is for 2-4 player to play. Each player initially has 9 cards. Player who create the table or win the last game will have 10 card and start the game first.
- From the second game, the player who win first place will have 10 cards and start the game first

+ “Nọc”: All left card after dealt for all player .It’s places on the middle of table.
+ “Mom”: If the game already end but player didn’t put down any PHOM, it will call MOM.
+ “Chicken”: Player who “eat” the first and second card, it’s call Chicken
+ “Move”: When someone “eat” , trash card on top will be moved on opposite some level before.
+ “Change Phom”: When someone “eat”, trash card on top will be moved on opposite some level before.
Example: Player have 7♦ 7♣ 7♥ want to change to 6♥ 7♥ 8♥ > Player just need to pick 7♣ 7♥ và 6♥ 8♥ and press button “Change Phom”.
+ “Ù”: When all players have 9 cards and don’t have any trash cards
+ “Beat the last”: Beat player before last round
+ “Chốt hạ ù đền”: When player already put down but someone “eat” and that player re-PHOM again still “Ù” >> The player who “eat” cards will be “Ù” and pay at that moment for everyone else.
+ “Đền do bị ăn gà” : When player “eat” 3 chicken or 2 chicken and 1 “the last” >> It’s call Paid
In case when player get Paid or “Chốt hạ ù đền” but player have “Ù K” then it does’t count as “Ù K” for that game.
+ “Re”: After put down cards, someone still “eat” and all cards already hit will be moved on . You will have one more turn to play.
+ “Send”: On last turn, If all your trash cards can combine to other PHOM of player who already put down all the cards >> You could send all those trash cards. The card that you already sent can’t be point counted when the game was end.
3. How to play PHOM
When the game start, each player will dealt 9 cards, except the host or player who won last round will dealt 10 cards. The cards game play with an opposite clockwise.
When player before you hit 1 trash card and your turn begin, you will have 2 options:
+ First is “Eat”: If you have 2 cards that can combine with the other trash card >> It will make a PHOM
Example: Other the player hit the J♣ , you have 2 cards J♥ , J♦ on your hand then you click J♥, J♦ and click “Eat” to make a PHOM J♣ J♥ and J♦.
+ Second is draw cards: If you don’t have any cards that can combine to other cards to make a PHOM , you can choose “Draw Cards” from deck cards to continue.
- After “Eat” or “Draw Cards”, player must “Hit” 1 card and end turn.

After 3 round is round 4, this round is “All Down Round”. On “All Down Round” player need to click “Down PHOM” to put down all PHOM on player hand or already eaten.
After “Down PHOM”, there are still trash cards on player hand but can combine with other to make a PHOM and player click “Send” to send these cards.
After “Send” all the cards (if you have). The game will start to point counting to decide who is the winner (except “Ù” case). Player with the lowest point will win the game + money from win,lost when “eat” chicken or “eaten” chicken by other player.
4. Special Cases:
“Same Color” is case that players have 5 straight cards with same rank. (Example: 2♥ 3♥ 4♥ 5♥ 6♥).
“Same Color” only counting dealt cards, pick up cards or card that “ate” from other player. Cards sent to other player can’t be counted.
After “Down PHOM”, there are still trash cards on player hand but can combine with other to make a PHOM and player click “Send” to send these cards.
After “Send” all the cards (if you have). The game will start to point counting to decide who is the winner (except “Ù” case). Player with the lowest point will win the game + money from win,lost when “eat” chicken or “eaten” chicken by other player.
4. Special Cases:
“Same Color” is case that players have 5 straight cards with same rank. (Example: 2♥ 3♥ 4♥ 5♥ 6♥).
“Same Color” only counting dealt cards, pick up cards or card that “ate” from other player. Cards sent to other player can’t be counted.

There are 2 “Same Color”: Normal Same Color and White Same Color
Normal Same Color: Case that player have 5 straight cards with same rank.
Note:
If more than 2 player in table have “same color”, they will both receive chips.
In case that some player get “Ù” in the table, others player counted as lost even though player have “same color”, you still not get any chips.
In “Same Color” card must have only 1 card from others user.
Example:
6 cards: 2♥ 3♥ 4♥ 5♥ 6♥ 7♥ have 5♥ that “eat” from others user =>> This is same color card.
6 cards: 2♥ 3♥ 4♥ 5♥ 6♥ 7♥ have 4♥ and 5♥ that “eat” from others user =>> This is not same color card.
White Same Color: In case that all cards on player hand have the same rank and in a PHOM (May be in 2 or 3 PHOM)
+ “Ù tròn” Rules: In case any player have 9 cards on hand then pick up tenth card which can combine into 3 PHOM so player counted as “Ù tròn”.
+ “Ù thông” Rules: In case player get “Ù” more than 2 games.
+ “Ù K” Rules: When the game end, player have PHOM 3K or 4K that call as “Ù K”. Pick up a K from the deck cards or K from dealing will count as “Ù K” but it doesn’t count “eat” others player.
+ “K bet” Rules: When player “eat” a K from others player . Player will get pay chips match with rounds:
• “Eat” the K in first round: x2 bet money.
• “Eat” the K in second round: x4 bet money.
• “Eat” the K in third round: x6 bet money.
• “Eat” the K in last round: x10 bet money.
5. Normal point counting of PHOM rules:
The game will end when someone get “Ù”.
- After 4 round, If no one got “Ù” , rest of trash cards will be point counted to decide Win - Lost. Winner player is the one who have the lowest points.
- On the card will have the number same like points of that card. Points on A, J, Q, K will be 1, 11, 12, 13.
- In case that everyone has the same point, the last player put down cards will be lost.
- Player get “MOM” (don’t put down any PHOM) will be lost.
